Kelly Rowland is making waves with her starring role in Tyler Perry’s new legal thriller, ‘Mea Culpa.’ The film’s a #1 Netflix hit, and one scene, a heated encounter between Rowland’s character and co-star Trevante Rhodes, has everyone talking.

 

During a recent appearance on Shan Boodrams’s ‘Lovers and Friends’ podcast, Rowland opened up about filming the intimate scene and the playful, honest rapport with her husband, Tim Weatherspoon.

“I called my husband before the shoot,” she shared with a laugh. “His response wasn’t exactly enthusiastic, but he knows me. He knows this is work.” The honesty she shares about Tim’s support highlights the trust within their relationship.

Rowland also revealed that filming the scene left an impact. “I definitely felt…inspired when I got home that night,” she admitted with a mischievous smile. “I was ready to come home to my husband!”

 

The actress went on to discuss her approach to intimacy as a “sensualist.” For her, it’s about atmosphere, scents, lighting, music, all working together to awaken her senses. “When that happens, I’m not sure what version of me you’ll get…but it’ll be the best one.”
