Mo Abudu and Idris Elba Team Up for Short Film ‘Dust to Dreams’, a Powerful Exploration of Family and Dreams

Media powerhouse Mo Abudu and acclaimed actor/filmmaker Idris Elba are embarking on an exciting new project. ‘Dust to Dreams’, a short film created under their previously announced partnership, will delve into the complex dynamics of a mother-daughter relationship as the daughter grapples with meeting her estranged father.
Elba, taking on both writing and directing duties, will bring his unique cinematic vision to the project.

The film boasts a star-studded cast featuring Nollywood icons like Nse Ikpe-Etim and Eku Edewor, alongside former Nigerian Idol contestant Constance Olatunde and rising star Atlanta Bridget Johnson. Music legend Seal will also add his artistic touch to the project.

Abudu, credited with the original concept, serves as executive producer with Heidi Uys supervising production. Producers Temidayo Makanjuola, Inem King, and Vanessa Demme bring additional expertise to the table. This collaborative effort highlights both Abudu and Elba’s commitment to amplifying African voices and showcasing the continent’s rich filmmaking talent.
