February 19, (THEWILL) – Social media influencer and comedienne Elsa Majimbo has recently discussed an alleged negative professional experience with supermodel Naomi Campbell. Majimbo claims the incident transpired after a positive initial encounter with Campbell during the supermodel’s visit to Nairobi in December 2020.
According to Majimbo, their initial connection led to discussions about a potential documentary focused on Majimbo’s journey pursuing opportunities in Hollywood. However, tensions reportedly arose when Majimbo subsequently released a separate documentary regarding colorism and discrimination in Kenya without informing Campbell.
Majimbo describes receiving a call from Campbell expressing dissatisfaction with the situation. Despite Majimbo’s attempts to clarify, she alleges Campbell responded negatively, leading to a breakdown in communication and a sense of professional isolation.
Majimbo acknowledges struggling in the aftermath of this incident. However, a subsequent encounter with fashion icon Edward Enninful helped Majimbo gain perspective and start taking steps to address the situation with Campbell.
While acknowledging the opportunities Campbell initially provided, Majimbo states their relationship remains complex and unresolved. Campbell has not yet publicly commented on Majimbo’s allegations.
