Davido To Light Up Madison Square Garden In Debut Concert On Timeless Tour

In an exclusive announcement, Billboard reveals that Afrobeats sensation Davido is set to make history with his first concert at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York City next spring.
Scheduled for April 17, 2024, this highly anticipated performance is a part of Davido’s extended Timeless Tour, and it promises to be a night to remember. Duke Concept is producing the tour, which includes three new North American arena dates. After the Madison Square Garden extravaganza, the tour will continue with a show at Montreal’s Place Bell on April 19 and conclude at Orlando’s Additional Financial Arena on April 24. This milestone achievement follows in the footsteps of other Nigerian superstars like Burna Boy, who headlined MSG in April 2022, and Wizkid, who held a memorable concert there in November 2022.
Reflecting on this remarkable journey, Davido shared his excitement, saying, “Seven years ago, I walked past Madison Square Garden and looked at it and said, “We gonna come back and shut this down.’ So to be here now, able to play Madison Square Garden, in New York, one of the first cities and fans to embrace my music, at this iconic venue … it’s a dream come true.”
But the excitement doesn’t end there for Davido. He’s also making waves on the international music scene with his Grammy nominations. His summer hit “Unavailable,” featuring Musa Keys, earned him a nomination for Best African Music Performance, while his fourth studio album, “Timeless,” is up for Best Global Music Album at the 2024 Grammy Awards. “Timeless,” released on March 31, 2023, via Davido Music Worldwide, made a significant impact, reaching No. 37 on the Billboard 200 chart and claiming the No. 2 spot on the World Albums chart. The album’s title track, “Timeless,” also soared, reaching No. 3 on both the U.S. Afrobeats Songs and World Digital Song Sales charts.
