Jonathan Majors & Meagan Good Profess Their Love During First Red Carpet
Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good made their first red carpet appearance since Majors’ domestic violence conviction at the African American Film Critics Association’s Special Achievement Awards Luncheon. The couple smiled for cameras and shared their excitement about celebrating Black excellence in film.
“We’re in love,” Majors told Extra TV, adding that they are “doing good.” Good echoed his sentiment: “We’re doing great. God’s good.”
The luncheon honored Black filmmakers and actors, including Deon Taylor, director of Meet the Blacks, a film Good has praised Taylor for. “He’s been a mentor and a big brother,” she said.
Majors’ recent conviction on assault and harassment charges led to his departure from several film projects. Sentencing is scheduled for April 8th. While he didn’t address the case directly, he affirmed his support for the Black film community, “We’re letting everybody know we are here. We make beautiful art.”
