Sanwo-Olu, Ooni of Ife Attend 2025 Isimi Lagos Festival as ‘The King’s Cup’ Delivers a Landmark Celebration of African Luxury
The 2025 Isimi Lagos Festival, themed The King’s Cup, concluded in grand style on Saturday, November 30, 2025, at the breathtaking Isimi Lagos Wellness and Polo Country Estate, Epe. The prestigious event, which has quickly grown into a premier showcase of African luxury, lifestyle, culture, and sport, attracted top dignitaries; notably Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Ooni of Ife, Arole Odùduwà, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojájá II.

Their presence added royal distinction and government backing to a festival already celebrated for redefining modern African elegance.
This year’s edition featured a fusion of elite polo, high fashion, culture, art, music, and sustainability aligning strongly with Isimi Lagos’s mission of positioning Nigeria as a global destination for refined, eco-conscious living. Governor Sanwo-Olu applauded the project’s bold vision and reaffirmed the state’s commitment to supporting initiatives that elevate tourism, hospitality, youth engagement, and investment in Lagos.
“Today, I attended the 2025 Isimi Lagos Festival, The King’s Cup, at the Isimi Lagos Wellness and Polo Country Estate in Epe, where I opened the tournament with the traditional throw-in. It was a pleasure spending time with everyone who came out to support the event. I look forward to seeing the Isimi Lagos community continue to grow and contribute to the creativity and connection we are building across our state” Governor
Sanwo Olu wrote on X.

The Ooni of Ife’s attendance further anchored the festival in cultural prestige, giving symbolic endorsement to the spirit of heritage and creative renaissance the festival promotes.
Guests were treated to the highlight of the festival, The King’s Cup Polo Match along with curated art installations, cultural showcases, wellness activations, premium culinary experiences, and style-driven exhibitions. The star-studded affair featured Nollywood icon Stella Damasus, reality star Erica Nlewedim, India Aisien, Dabola Lawson and other luxury lifestyle enthusiasts, creative professionals, and corporate executives in a visually stunning atmosphere.

Isimi Lagos, developed as Nigeria’s first wellness and polo country estate, represents the future of sustainable luxury living. The 220-hectare eco-conscious enclave blends nature, architecture, polo, wellness, and technology a destination unlike any in West Africa. The 2025 festival expanded on TheCable’s earlier projections of Isimi Lagos becoming a continental hub for culture, recreation, and green innovation.
With world-class equestrian sport, scenic landscapes, and a seamless blend of African tradition and contemporary lifestyle, this year’s festival proved that Isimi Lagos is not just building homes, it is curating experiences, shaping narratives, and setting a new benchmark for African luxury.
As the festival closed, guests hailed the event as a defining moment for leisure tourism in Nigeria. Organizers have already begun planning an even bigger 2026 edition, with expectations that The King’s Cup will grow into a must-attend cultural and luxury calendar event for Africa and beyond.
