However, in a recent publication dated February 02, 2025, we made an error of reporting incorrectly, for the first time, a story implying a romantic relationship between Mrs. Helen Prest Ajayi and Mr. Ayodele Subair without verifying the facts.

We now understand that the story was completely inaccurate, which is against the principles and culture of THEWILL DOWNTOWN, as we always report accurately and correctly.

We sincerely apologise to these distinguished citizens and their families for any distress this report may have caused. We deeply regret this oversight. It was never our intention to spread misinformation or cause embarrassment. In light of this, we have removed all references to the parties from that publication.

We hold both parties in very high esteem as respected members of society, and we look forward to working with them in the future.

Moving forward, we are committed to strengthening our editorial review process to ensure such mistakes do not reoccur.
