As Downtown’s new Lifestyle Editor at Large, she will amid other roles oversee the magazine’s coverage of events (social and corporate), bringing in her creativity and expertise to bear on the creation and delivery of high-quality content.

According to a statement signed by Austyn Ogannah, Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of THEWILL NEWSPAPER & THEWILL DOWNTOWN, both Eki and Ms. Ntianu Obiora, the newly appointed Online Editor of the magazine, will support the Executive Editor, Onah Nwachukwu, and the entire team to bring freshness to our style of culture, fashion and lifestyle journalism for the enjoyment of our readers.

In 2017, Eki launched the BellaNaija Style website and was the leading digital media platform’s Founding Editor, solidifying her impact on the digital fashion landscape. This pivotal endeavour culminated in her receiving the esteemed Fashion Writer of the Year award at the Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards in 2018.

She later founded KISARA, the African fashion brand which made its runway debut at Lagos Fashion Week in 2018 as part of her commitment to the flourishing African fashion industry. She is also the brains behind FashionVerse Africa; a new media platform for African creatives in fashion.
