Victoria Beckham’s Paris Fashion Week runway show faced a dramatic disruption as animal rights activists stormed the catwalk. Protesters, wearing vests with messages like “Animals Aren’t Fabric,” held signs reading “Viva Vegan Leather” while walking alongside the models before being removed by security.

The protest, organized by PETA, targets Beckham’s continued use of leather despite previously banning fur and exotic skins. “No garment is worth the violent slaughter of a sensitive animal,” PETA Vice President Mimi Bekhechi stated, urging Beckham to adopt ethical innovations such as leather made from apples, grapes, or mushrooms.

This demonstration follows a trend of animal rights activism targeting major fashion shows, including recent protests at Coach, Burberry, and Fendi.
Despite the disruption, Beckham closed the show on crutches, citing a gym injury. The Autumn/Winter 2024 collection featured sheer dresses, sculpted hems, and boxy blazers.
